Revol Revisit

Other than Project 944, it’s been some time since i last sent my car into Revol for any bodywork. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not because they aren’t competent, quite the opposite really, they are really excellent. But mostly to do with my old 5er not really requiring anything that i felt needed looking at.

Sure there were quite a lot of holograms left behind by a previous groomer but other than that, i was contented to live with all the other small knicks here and there. Nothing really major i thought. Until a couple of weeks ago when i tried to remove my rear lip spoiler. Cue disaster in 5,4,3,2…

With a smooth motion, i promptly remove my ill-fitting rear lip and along with it, a big chunk of paint!

I had to quickly fill it up with some cheap paint pen because such a big piece was removed it actually exposed the bare metal underneath, and because i was due to fly off to Tokyo the day after, i did up this quick fix as a temporary measure just to try and prevent any rust from forming as she sat in the carpark for the next few days.

Once back in Singapore, an appointment was made with Revol and off to the car spa my 5er went. A couple more days later…

Ta-dah!!! As good as new, actually even better considering the scratches that were previously there.

Since the car was in, i also requested for some paint correction to be done to get rid of all the hologramming left behind by a groomer i shall not name.

Apologies for these rather lacklustre parting shots as i had to grab them quick because a thunderstorm was approaching. Maybe i should get some proper photos when the skies clear up.

After collecting my 5er, our E88 120i Cabriolet was swapped in and is now in the good hands of the Revol staff. Currently it’s covered in hairline swirls, scratches and a recent ding on the rear bumper. Knowing their work standard, i can’t wait to see the end result. Will do a post once it’s done.

Once again, Thanks Revol!

I’m not affiliated with Revol nor is this a sponsored post, just a very satisfied customer and happy to share good experiences.
